Dr Morgan is an NHS trained GP who qualified from Edinburgh University in 2004. He trained extensively in Scotland and England before relocating home to Newry where he was educated at St. Colman’s College. Dr Morgan has been an NHS GP Partner in both England and Northern Ireland and is acutely aware of the health inequalities we face locally. He has also worked for over 10 years in acute and unscheduled care and is well placed to deliver an Out-of-Hours service responsive to modern needs.
Dr Morgan gained Membership of the Royal College of General Practice and the Diploma in Family Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has been an NHS GP Principal since 2010. Dr Morgan has qualifications in Minor Surgery from the R.C.G.P. and R.C.S. and certification in the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants. He has been undertaking Surgical procedures regularly for over 10 years.
Last year Dr Morgan completed accredited training through MedCo allowing him to act as a Medical Expert for the assessment of low value soft tissue injuries (commonly referred to as whiplash). This qualification is a pre-requisite for all GP/first report Medical Experts in England in line with the Government’s Civil Procedure Rules which came into force on 1st January 2016.
Dr Morgan has gone on to develop an interest in Aesthetic Medicine and Procedures, training with MATA (Medical and Aesthetic Training Academy – 1 Harley Street), in the assessment and delivery of dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle therapy having completed training in Foundation and Advanced procedures. He is supplementing this knowledge with further training and is currently taking Level 7 training in anti-wrinkle and dermal filler injections – the new industry standard in Aesthetic Training and Competency.
A Level 7 qualification is now recommended by Health Education England’s 2016 Qualification Requirements for Delivery of Cosmetic Procedures. It is recommended by Health Education England, Professional Groups and Royal Colleges that from 2018 this Level 7 qualification should be mandatory for all aesthetic practitioners undertaking injectable treatment.
Upon the completion of this Masters Level Qualification he plans upon Diploma Training in Dermatology.
Chantal Edwards, Practice Manager

Chantal has many years experience in healthcare, working in social care in her early years before training as a registered nurse in her 20’s. Chantal qualified from the University of Worcester with a 1st Class Honours in Adult Nursing. With a broad based background in care and exposure of most facets of nursing throughout her training, Chantal specialised in Theatre Nursing. She is a qualified Scrub and Anaesthetic Nurse having completed post-graduate training at the University of Birmingham in Anaesthetic Practice. She is a qualified Advanced Life Support Provider and has experience in resuscitation and Acute Care.
Chantal has also undertaken further training with MATA, 1 Harley Street, in the provision of dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections and has completed Foundation training in both areas. She is also working towards completion of her Aesthetic Level 7 Qualification.
Dr Stephen McCluskey, General Practitioner

Dr McCluskey graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2003. He spent 4 years training in medical specialities in the hospitals of Northern Ireland before gaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2007.
His career moved to General Practice and after completing his training in 2008 he also gained membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Dr McCluskey has been an NHS GP Principal for 10 years. During that time he has undertaken further training in minor surgery, joint injection techniques, sexual health and contraceptive implants. He also works as a GP with a Special Interest in A+E – working regular sessions in Craigavon Area Hospital Emergency Department.
Able to provide the full spectrum of GP services, Dr McCluskey has particular interests in diabetes, preventative medicine and musculoskeletal diseases.
Dr McCluskey also undertakes Aesthetic Procedures and trained in Aesthetic techniques with leading clinicians in the field in Dublin, London, Glasgow and Liverpool.
Mr Stephen Ward, Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Primary & Urgent Care

Stephen has joined us from London having returned home to N. Ireland. He has many years of experience working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in NHS Primary Care Centres in London. Stephen is experienced in both A+E and Primary Care and works independently.
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner Stephen has the same prescribing rights as a GP, he can look after acute and chronic conditions in adults and children, arrange both referrals and investigations as appropriate.
Advanced Nurse Practitioners are the saviours of modern General Practice and are now extensively used across England, Wales & Scotland. Their contribution to patient care has meant that Primary Care Services have been maintained and gotten stronger out-with Northern Ireland.
Prior to coming home, Stephen had been working in a ground breaking surgery which is completely Nurse Run and led, with minor GP support. This surgery recently made the news and was awarded “Outstanding” status by the CQC.

Mrs Marika Nesbitt, Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Marika has been nursing for 31 years. She trained at the prestigious University College Hospital, London before a long hospital career covering – tissue viability, emergency admissions, rehabilitation medicine before returning to the Royal Group of Hospitals in Belfast where she worked for 10 years.
Before retraining for General Practice Marika worked for 8 years in the area of weight loss and bariatric surgery, selecting and preparing patients for treatment in Europe on behalf of some of the worlds most respected Bariatric Surgeons. She also worked as a Clinical Trial Manager and running a busy trails centre for the treatment of flu and whooping cough.
She returned to training in primary care with a degree course in diabetes, the women’s health diploma, prescribing qualifications and training to cover the management of child and adult health, chronic disease management.
Marika has been working independently for years – firstly in Peterborough and for the last 2 years in Tandragee Medical Centre. She has a special interest in Diabetes, Bariatric treatments and Women’s Health.
